Help To Stop EastLink WA by writing to those in power!

Here are some suggestions to include in your letter or email:

  • EastLink is a forty-year-old outdated plan
  • There has been no recent consultation, surveys or feedback sought from local government giving locals the chance to have their say specifically on the construction of EastLink and subsequent impact on the future direction of their communities
  • This Highway will divide many Hills communities in two and impact liveability for locals and local businesses
  • EastLink is a billion-dollar project, planned for the transport of heavy freight road trains. In 2023, we need to consider alternative means of transport such as rail.
  • EastLink will create noise, air and visual pollution and forever change the fabric of Perth Hills
  • EastLink contradicts Western Australian Climate Change policy
  • The land reserved for EastLink has created a Green Belt. We are concerned about the impact to the home of rare, protected and endangered species of flora and fauna
  • We have 118 + species of native birds residing in Perth Hills, including three types of black cockatoo which are under threat of extinction due to habitat loss
